Most of us work hard at home or at work, but how many of us stop to ask ourselves what makes us truly happy?
The practice of Self-compassion leads to greater life satisfaction and contentment. It does so in part by encouraging us to ask ourselves what brings us joy in life. By utilizing breath, movement, and gratitude—daily rituals for self-connection and stress management—we can bring more compassion towards ourselves and those around us and Joy can be its natural outcome.

We welcome you October 27-29, 2023 for a Yoga Weekend Retreat to learn simple pleasures, yogic tools and self-care rituals that you can apply to your life in a meaningful and lasting way.

Yoga foundations: The 8 Limbs of Yoga explained -
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali refers to 8 limbs of yoga, each of which offers guidance on how to live a meaningful and purposeful life. Learn about each one and how to incorporate them into your practice.
Calming Asanas: Learn Asanas, or Yoga poses that support revitalizing our Joy.
To embody these experiences we need to be well grounded in our Root Chakra. Located at the base of the spine, the pelvic floor, and the first three vertebrae, the root chakra is responsible for your sense of safety and security on this earthly journey.
Pranayama Breathing: Simple Breathing exercise with Mudras. These hand gestures can bring a sense of wholeness and decrease anxiety levels. A take home practice will be provided.
Yoga Nidra and Meditation: connecting with your inner wisdom. A regular Yoga Nidra meditation practice can aid in managing anxiety, promoting mindfulness and instilling a deep sense of calm within you.
Gratitude: How to find simple joys by developing a gratitude practice.

*Seva: Seva (volunteering) opportunity to defray part of the cost. Seva is a Sanskrit word meaning selfless service, and perhaps considered the most important part of any spiritual practice.

It's all too easy to fall into a shoulder-forward slump, and over time, the connective tissue of the body hardens to hold that posture. Join me for a series of exercises to counteract this habit, and to gain strength so you can have good alignment in your daily life and your yoga practice.
This workshop is specially designed for practitioners who:
have restrictions or pain in the shoulders or neck (due to overuse, injury, or simply bad posture)
wish to prevent future problems by learning how to use the shoulders safely and efficiently in yoga or other activities.
want to progress deeper into their practice without compromising the integrity of the shoulder structure
